May 21, 2022 - Annual “Old Fashioned Picnic” at the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch in Oologah, OK. It is a tradition, carried forward since the inception of the Pocahontas Club, which was founded in 1899. The first event was held at Talala, with an old fashioned picnic and square dance in John Lipe’s new barn. Today, it is most appropriate to have the picnic at the Will Rogers birthplace ranch, since he was one of the early members of the club. There will be cultural games and contests, traditional hog fry, live music and good old fashioned family fun. Open to the Public.
